I was reading an article in the paper recently about creativity falling in the US since the nineties (it’s in Dutch). That got me thinking.
In space, no one can hear you scream. That’s good, because I wanted to scream after watching the first season of Star Trek: Discovery. Of course, saying I don’t like something is one thing, supporting that with arguments takes a bit more work.
Somebody decided that a late-nineteenth century police procedural/drama set in New York was just what we needed, so they made the Alienist. I think they were right.
My daughter is an only child. I have friends who have two, three, or no children, but we decided differently. I haven’t seen any single-child father’s point of view on this subject, so here’s my two cents.
