Renegade is, of course, a corny eighties show starring Lorenzo Lamas, but it is also a science fiction novel by Joel Shepherd. I’m going to talk about the latter today. Reviewing the other Renegade could be interesting as well, but maybe another time.

I used to have a baby who made various undefined noises. Nowadays, I have a fully functional toddler who can talk. That took some getting used to.

Tyranny of the Majority

Imagine high school. Imagine the majority of students in a certain class deciding that one of them is a dweeb, and picking on them. That’s not cool, is it?

Imagine now, a country, where the majority of the people decide that LGBT people should be shunned from certain parts of society. Not so cool eith- oh wait, that’s what’s happening in a number of democratic countries, including the US.

when I was eight years old, I attempted to write my first story on my grandfather’s old typewriter. I quickly learned typewriters are not very forgiving when it comes to typos or rewrites. Nowadays I use Scrivener for writing, and maybe you should too.
