I wrote recently about my daughter now being a young girl, and how that comes with its own problems. She has a group of friends these days, and they have fun together, but they also fight. That brings a number of parental challenges.

What’s it like being a dad in the twenty-first century?

Remember how your birthday was the best day of the year when you were young? As a parent, I now find myself on the organizing side of this event. And that is a very different experience.
In a few weeks, there’s a second-hand book sale at my daughter’s school. I like that idea, but we can’t go; my wife and I both have to work.
Some thoughts on being a working parent.
Last week, my daughter asked me “what’s that blue and yellow flag?” while I was taking her to school. People have been hanging the Ukrainian flag in their windows, as a show of support. So, do I tell her, or wait until she’s older?
