It’s that time of the month again, no not that, the other thing: reviews. I’ve seen and read things this month, and will now force my opinions on you.

I read books, play video games, and watch TV. I have opinions about most of what I consume that way. And I like to write those opinions down.
However, I find reviews saying ‘I love it’ or ‘I hate it’ pretty useless, so I do things differently. Instead, I try to look at why something does or does not work for me. Are the characters internally consistent? Does the plot make sense? What writing smells does the story have.
That way, you know not just if I liked it, but it should help you determine if you will like it. I hope.
Here is another set of reviews to offer my unique view on books, movies, and television shows. Well, somewhat unique anyway; this is the Internet, where everything has already been said by somebody.
I saw Sharknado 2: the Second One last week. What to say about that? Well, I liked it. You know going in it isn’t going to be the movie of the year. It actually tries to be bad. However… it’s actually kind of fun. You can learn something from that as a writer: a guy cutting a flying shark in half with a chainsaw is just fun.
